The Challenge Double Agents Power Rankings — Week 12

Welcome back to another edition of Power Rankings! Inside this weeks edition Sigmund Freud rolls over in his grave, we deep dive into last week’s flippy cup match-up, we learn what a biohack really is, and so much more…

20) Mechie (Eliminated)

19) Theresa (E)

18) Amber M. (E)

17) Lolo (Last Week: 15)

I’ll tell you what. I’m never watching the Olympics the same ever again. I’ll miss you Lolo. I’ll miss your never-ending cavalcade of unintentionally hilarious fashion decisions. I’ll miss your incessant reminders that you’re an athlete. I’ll miss just overall how poorly you handled the 90% of The Challenge that has nothing to do with physicality.

Will she ever come back? Probably not. If that decision was up to me? She’d be the first person I casted.

16) Josh (LW: 17)

No conspiracy this week, just this embarrassing photo.

15) Mature Nany (LW: 16)

Freud would be having a field day with this one.

God, Nany’s the best.

14) Gabby (LW: 13)

On this week’s episode of my favorite Challenge podcast “Redditors React” (seriously, check it out. It’s two charming, affable Brits using charming, affable British slang discussing The Challenge. It’s incredible.), Levi laid out the big-brain case that Gabby is ultimately responsible for Devin getting voted in this week. And I totally buy it. I’m not going to lay out the case, go listen to the podcast.

Also, what the hell is going on with this sweatshirt?

If that’s what constitutes fashion these days then you can count me out.

13) Amber (LW: 12)

“And when Amber saw the breadth of her domain, she wept, as there were no more Ambers to conquer”

12) Nam (LW: 14)

Between last week and now, Nam has grown six inches. His hair in now fuller and plusher than it’s ever been. His English is now perfect. In fact, he forgot how to speak German entirely.

I’m looking forward to what Super Nam can do now that he’s shed his fun vacuum of a partner. His performance as the New Hot Guy has been ultimately disappointing, but he’s still got a small bit of time left to reconcile the situation.

11) Cerebral Cory (LW: 10)

Between his Jedi Mind Trick on Amber and last week’s Laurel impression, Cerebral Cory has been the most impressive behind the scenes player in the game so far.

Having to ride the new partner every week wave either can’t be easy (and the amount of helicopter rides he’s missed out on is becoming a bit alarming), but now that he’s playing the game with the correct head, Cerebral Cory’s making that turbulence look easy.

10) Darrell (LW: 9)

Darrell calling them Gavin and Debby will make me laugh for the remainder of my time on this miserable planet.

9) Aneesa (LW: 8)

She called herself a turd and Devin called her an IT guy. Tough week.

8) Fessy (LW: 7)

7) Kaycee (LW: 6)

Let’s break down this game of Flippy Cup and try and determine where it went wrong for Fessy and Kaycee…

Now right away, we have a problem. When’s the last time you guys think Darrell has played flippy cup? Ten years ago? Maybe at some point living in the redemption house on Dirty 30? Either way, he’s bound to be rusty. And while he may have been a competitive drinker in the past, take it from someone who just spent his entire Sunday hugging the toilet and sleeping from partying all weekend, if you don’t use it, you lose it.

Also, Big T wearing sunglasses is a total vision obstructer and more than likely impacted her abilities.

And now one look at the opponents you can tell that this is a well oiled machine. You have Devin, Kyle, and Amber who probably played flippy cup at the airport bar on the way into Iceland. Then you have Cory, who I’m sure isn’t new at this kind of thing. And while I have no clue if flippy cup is a thing in Germany, drinking games supersede language barriers.

An even closer inspection shows that Fessy and Leroy were also on the other side of the table. Looks like it was…

Leroy/Aneesa (?)/Fessy/Kaycee/Darrell/Big T

Vs.

Kyle/Cory/Amber/Nam/Devin/somebody else.

Moral of the story is, just another tough look for Big Brother this season.

6) Devin (LW: 5)

Let’s talk about the Security Breach

  • The first time they used a “Security Breach” Ashley returned after Natalie left us. So does that mean someone else is coming back?
  • If it is the return of a woman to replace Lolo, the options are the last two women eliminated which would be Amber M. and Theresa. Theresa seemed all but checked out roughly halfway through her elimination against Kaycee. And if they’ve teased this security breach for two weeks in a row, and the outcome is Amber M. comes back, that would be the biggest fart in the wind I’ve ever smelled in my life.
  • So if it’s not that, than what? With all this hoopla, CT and Devin probably aren’t going to be going against each other, right? My feelings are that it has something to do with Cory and Nam. But what? Just them going against each other? Seems a bit anti-climactic. They’ve been giving us Nam lower back content for a two weeks in a row now as well. And this seems like the type of thing that puts a lot of strain on your back….

Point is, I have no clue. But again, as mentioned in my recap, if they’re gonna hype this up for two weeks, it better be good.

5) Big T (LW: 11)

Who would have known that hooking yourself up to a silly “biohack” as CT so eloquently put it would make you such a fast swimmer?

Are we sure that’s what a biohack is?

According to this Vox article, “Biohacking — also known as DIY biology — is an extremely broad and amorphous term that can cover a huge range of activities, from performing science experiments on yeast or other organisms to tracking your own sleep and diet to changing your own biology by pumping a younger person’s blood into your veins in the hope that it’ll fight aging.”

And after reading that entire thing, it sounds like Biohacking is basically Buddhism but with science.

So is throwing pillows at someone who’s having their major arm and leg muscles blocked actually Biohacking? Well, no, not really.

But what facts and science don’t take into consideration is that CT says it’s a Biohack. And if CT calls something a Biohack, well then it’s a Biohack.

4) Kyle (LW: 3)

“Kyle, what’s your plan once CT beats Devin in elimination and steals your partner Kam, finally coming full circle and correcting his mistake?”

3) CT (LW: 4)

He’s gonna do it.

Nobody wants to see it, but it’s going to happen.

If/when he beats Devin this week (granted they get to go against each other) he’s going to drop Big T. I just feel it in my gut.

It’ll be a complicated feeling for everybody. I don’t want to see Big T sad, like ever. But I also want to see CT win everything he does. So what am I supposed to feel? Somebody give me guidance.

2) Leroy (LW: 2)

“Lolo, you for real woke me up from a nap for this?”

1) Kam (LW: 1)

The Challenge Gods have removed Nicole, Natalie, and now Lolo from blocking her path to a W. Whatever deal she made with the Devil I hope it was worth it.

Thanks for reading! Be sure to check back tomorrow where I preview this weeks episode and go over What To Look For. As well as come back after Wednesday nights episode for my Winners & Losers Recap. Happy Challenge Watching!
